Château de Béguin Wedding
Canadian couple Tanya and Brendan chose to have their destination Château de Béguin wedding in France because it provided the perfect combination of opulence and relaxation for their family and guests. Traveling with their three children and joined by friends from around the world, the historic setting was an impressive choice that lent itself beautifully to their celebration and to the photography of French wedding photographer Clemence Aresu. Throughout the week, they organized activities for their guests, including wine tastings and excursions to explore the charming nearby towns and countryside.

Just 30 kilometers outside of Paris, the 11th-century Château de Béguin features fairytale turrets and a defensive tower that dates back to the 1400s. The manicured gardens, with stunning views of the surrounding countryside, welcome guests as they arrive and invite them into the aristocratic manor filled with opulent architecture and furnishings.

Tanya and Brendan’s wedding day was beautifully styled to match the location, featuring a palette of soft pastels with touches of pink that complemented the garden setting. Tanya, wearing a lavender mid-length gown, let her bridesmaids choose pastel fashions they felt comfortable in, while dressing her daughters in petal-pink dresses and her son in a smart suit and tie. Brendan wore a soft grey suit and a rose boutonniere. The bouquets and floral arrangements featured delicate white and pink peonies, roses, and sweet peas, with tiny sprigs of rosemary.

A lovely wooden arch covered in flowers and an aisle lined with abundant floral arrangements set the scene for the ceremony, which included the couple’s children, live music, and heartfelt readings. The day was simply perfect for saying “I do” under blue skies with puffy clouds and gentle breezes.

During the reception, the preferred caterers at Montrognon Traiteur put on a French feast with locally sourced vegetables, meats, and cheeses, along with favorite wines of the region, making dinner a delightful experience all on its own. Champagne toasts and great conversations continued late into the night, followed by dancing and delicious desserts.

Their photographer, Clemence Aresu, along with her second shooter, captured the entire event, including the farewell brunch, with a blend of candid moments and elegantly posed portraits to create the perfect mix for gifting, sharing, and framing. With another photographer working by her side, Clemence carefully planned the weekend to ensure every special moment was documented with skill and artistry.
