Nandini and Vishnu's Stunning Garden City Hotel Wedding

Nandini and Vishnu’s Garden City Hotel wedding in New York transported guests to a elevated Barbiecore-inspired celebration that was visually stunning and deeply emotional. A fully immersive and joy-filled experience, the celebration blended tradition, personality, and design, to make for an unforgettable event, all beautifully photographed by Pervez Taufiq of P.Taufiq Photography.

Set in a historic Four Diamond hotel that has been welcoming guests since 1869, their venue wasn’t chosen simply for its elegance, but for what it meant to the them.  The Garden City Hotel is where their story began. Their first date, their proposal, and now their wedding day all unfolded in the same place, giving the space a sense of meaning and romantic destiny. That same balance between personal history and impeccable celebration defined the entire day.
 

Getting Ready and Details

The morning began with anticipation and energy, with vibrant colors and thoughtful details setting the tone early on.
Nandini’s bridal look was striking. She wore a richly detailed red lehenga from Libaas Xclusif, paired with intricate jewelry from Kirni Designs. Her look felt both traditional and fashion-forward, beautifully aligned with the overall aesthetic of the wedding.

Henna by Henna For All added another layer of artistry, with detailed patterns that told their own quiet story. From the invitation suite by Feel Good Invites to the carefully chosen accessories, every element felt cohesive.
The palette of pinks, corals, and soft golds carried through to dinner and events that came later in the evening.

Nandini and Vishnu chose to do a first look, allowing them a private moment together before the celebration began.
It was a natural choice for a day with so many moving parts. It gave them space to connect, breathe, and fully take in the moment before stepping into the ceremony and festivities.
Their portrait session took place before the ceremony, capturing them in a more intimate way. The photography by Pervez Taufiq looked regal and the expereience felt relaxed.
 

A Ceremony Full of Tradition and Emotion

The ceremony honored family and religious traditions while embracing the couple’s unique style.
From the baraat, complete with energetic dhol drummers, the celebration began with upbeat movement and excitement. Guests danced their way into the ceremony, setting the tone for what would be a high-energy, joy-filled culimination to Vishnu's proposal.

Inside, the ceremony space was softened with florals in varying shades of pink by Eva Madeliena. The design felt romantic and lush without losing its sense of refinement.

Each ritual carried meaning, from family blessings to symbolic gestures that tied generations together. These moments were layered with emotion, bliss, and connection, beautifully captured without interruption.
 

A Fairytale Garden Reception at The Garden City Hotel

The design of the wedding reception could be called garden perfection in pink. The couple had envisioned a fairytale outdoor-inspired celebration, layered with tropical influences drawn from their love of travel and that is exactly what was received. When they walked into their private room reveal, it was one of the most memorable moments of the day. 

The ballroom had been completely transformed. Floral installations in every shade of pink filled the space, from towering centerpieces to cascading arrangements overhead. Candlelight flickered beneath soft lighting, while gold accents added structure and elegance.
It was not just decor. It was an environment that felt lush, romantic, and dreamlike.
 

An Experience-Driven Celebration

From the moment guests entered the reception, it was clear this would be more than just a party. It would be an experience.
A jazz trio set the tone during cocktail hour, while tropical-inspired drinks and custom coconuts added a playful and personal layer.
One of the most unforgettable moments was the acrobat performance, which felt surreal and completely unexpected. At the same time, a live painter and illustrator documented the evening in real time, giving the guests and the couple tangible takeaways to remind them of their time together.

The dance floor stayed full all night, and even their dog baby got out there to make some moves.
 

A Wedding That Felt Personal in Every Way

Throughout the day, the transistions were seamless and the atmosphere was refined and relaxed. The wedding was all about honoring tradition, celebrating family, and creating an experience that guests would never forget, From the Rolls Royce arrival to the smallest details, everything felt intentional, and that, along with the exceptional photography is what made this wedding a stand out to our editors.
