French-Inspired Campagne Living Wedding ZA
Adriaan and Mia’s Campagne Living wedding in Pretoria, ZA, was intimate, elegant and inspired by the French countryside.
Surrounded by rolling hills just outside Pretoria, the venues' antique doors and chic, rustic furnishings are all imported from France, and each of their four event spaces, including the Veg Garden, Summer House, Farm Kitchen, and Hot House are impeccably designed. Known for its zero-waste approach and organic cuisine, Campagne Living was the ideal space for this down to earth couple to celebrate.
An unassuming pair, Adriaan and Mia wanted a wedding that felt deeply personal, no drama, no fuss, just a gathering of their very closest friends and family. From quiet getting ready moments to the candlelit dinner and dancing, the celebration felt graceful, authentic and relaxed.

One of the most emotional moments of the day arrived during Mia’s walk down the aisle. Her father had passed away the previous year, so she chose to walk alone. Halfway down, Adriaan met her and walked with her the rest of the way. It was a sweet gesture that left everyone in tears.

The reception décor echoed the venue’s natural aesthetic with garden fresh floral arrangements of delphinium, dahlias, roses and daisies in soft pastels, all arranged in vintage French vases. Dinner, served in the Hot House, featured fresh, locally sourced produce from the venue’s vegetable garden that was lovingly prepared by Toast Fine Foods. The table settings with linen runners, pewter cutlery and candles that flickered as dusk settled, created a warm atmosphere that complemented the comfortable, communal feeling.

Mia chose two stunning gowns from Alena Leena via Wedding Boutique South Africa. The first was an elegant ceremony dress. Later, she changed into a second gown for the reception, opting for a more relaxed and comfortable style that looked stunning on the dance floor.
All through the day and to the final farewell, top ZA wedding photographer Wouter Kleynhans captured unscripted moments and relaxed portraits making for an impressive wedding collection that told the couple's story. Kleynhans, says, “they didn’t ask for posed photos. They wanted moments that would celebrate their love and deep connections. For me, two moments still stand out, the morning preparations and the instant Mia entered the chapel doors with a beam of light behind her”.
