With a playful approach and elegant, all-white styling, Chan Jian Lok and Goh Jing Yann’s wedding at Acres Resort in Malaysia honored their elders and entertained their guests with a gorgeous setting, delicious cuisine, and a surprising fireworks display.

With so much love and happiness, even this customary event felt unique and upbeat.

The bride’s gift to her girlfriends of soft silk robes looked lovely on all of them, and along with their heart shaped glasses, made for some seriously fun photos while getting ready. Once the rest of the women were dressed, the bride put on her custom-made gown from @dentellebridal that perfectly complemented her beauty and grace, while the groom got gussied up in his formal black tuxedo.

One of the reasons the couple chose to have their wedding at Acres Resort was for its beautiful ceremony space. Set on an open lawn surrounded by rolling hills and lush greenery, the setting felt naturally elegant framed by soft light and open sky. To welcome their guests, the planners lined the aisle with white parasols, sculptural floral arrangements, and textured greenery that blended seamlessly into the landscape. Everywhere you looked, shades of white and green created a refined and welcoming atmosphere.

As guests settled in, the groom made his entrance to warm applause, walking down the aisle with a single white bloom on his lapel. The joy on his face set the tone for everything that followed, but it was the moment he looked up toward the sky, eyes welling, breath catching, that revealed just how much this day meant to him.

The bridal party appeared in soft white dresses, each holding a parasol of their own, creating a beautiful and cohesive scene against the mountainous backdrop. 

When the bride arrived on her father’s arm, the entire space seemed to hold its breath. Her cascading orchid bouquet, paired with her delicate lace gown and long veil, made her entrance unforgettable. The groom wiped away tears as she approached the floral arch, a towering installation of roses, orchids, hydrangeas, and natural foliage. The design felt organic and abundant, like the garden had grown around them. During the ceremony, the couple sat beneath the shade of white umbrellas alongside their guests, signing their marriage documents and sharing soft smiles that spoke volumes. Friends and family looked on with emotion, whispering blessings and capturing the moment on their phones. The light shifting and the clouds drifting by, added depth and drama to the sweeping mountain views behind the altar.

Their vows led to a heartfelt kiss, followed by laughter and a joyful lift as the groom swept the bride off her feet. It was one of those unscripted moments that captured the feeling of their special day.

Back at the floral arch, the bride shared a series of joyful portraits with her bridesmaids, each one full of laughter, movement, and the easy friendship that had carried them through the day. The couple changed into fresh evening looks, Jingyann in a sleek white gown with a thigh-high slit, Jialok in a crisp tuxedo, and wandered the terrace while guests enjoyed beautifully styled canapés and drinks. The presentation alone was a feast: sushi skewers, delicate tartlets, layered shooters, and colorful bites arranged against a backdrop of blue water and mountain views. Laughter carried across the pool deck as family and friends mingled, snapped photos, and toasted the newlyweds.

Before dinner began, the couple slipped away for a few portraits at the water’s edge. The fading light softened the mountains behind them, giving Zach Chin the perfect setting to capture quiet, intimate moments, just the two of them, standing together at the start of their married life. Soon after, the mood shifted again when they returned to the lawn, playful and energized, twirling, lifting, and laughing as though the entire day had been building toward this carefree joy.

Dinner was filled with emotion and smiles as guests gathered around long tables dressed in white, lit with candles and lined with calla lilies. Heartfelt toasts sent the room into waves of laughter, and one especially touching moment unfolded when the bride embraced her parents during an emotional speech. Then came one of the night’s biggest surprises: a high-energy dance performance by the Jing Yann and her bridesmaids. Dressed in coordinated brown and cream outfits with sneakers, they lit up the open-air deck with synchronized choreography, bringing the house down and setting the tone for a lively evening ahead. 

As the night came to a close, the couple stepped out onto the deck once more, this time under a burst of fireworks that lit up the sky above the treetops. Holding hands and smiling toward the camera, they watched the colors explode overhead in a perfect finale to their day. In the warm glow of the fireworks, surrounded by nature, family, and joy, their wedding at Acres Resort ended just as beautifully as it began, filled with heartfelt moments, impeccable design, and memories that will stay with them for a lifetime.
